Accreditation for UMIA Live Risk Management Workshops
The Utah Medical Insurance Association (UMIA) is accredited by the Utah Medical Association to provide continuing medical education to physicians. UMIA designates live activity titled UMIA Risk Management Workshops in the states of Utah, Wyomingand Montant for a maximum of 6.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Children:
Out of respect for other attendees, and because some Risk Management
Workshop topics may be sensitive or inappropriate for children,
the UMIA Risk Management staff request that attendees not bring their
children to the Risk Management workshop. Should last minute circumstances
make it impossible for you to make arrangements for child care,
you will be re-scheduled for a future workshop.
Spouses and Guests:
Because data that is presented at Risk Management workshops involves
actual UMIA data, the company requests that only insured physicians
or approved office staff attend. It is inappropriate for spouses,
family or friends to join a physician at the workshop.
FULL WORKSHOP ATTENDANCE:
Full participation in the workshop is required to qualify for the
Risk Management premium discount. Physicians with partial attendance
will receive CME credit commensurate with their attendance but will
not receive the risk management discount.
