Thank you for your interest in our grant opportunities. These grants are designed to help the medical community support the Institute for Health Care Improvement’s Triple Aim. The Triple Aim is a three-pronged approach to improving the health of a population; enhancing the patient care experience; and reducing the per capita cost of care.
UMIA, a member of Constellation, has a long history of philanthropy, grant giving, and investing in and supporting our communities. This tradition continues with our grant programs offering support to organizations that champion patient safety and provider well-being, to physicians and other executives for furthering leadership education, and to patient safety research projects and collaborations.
Health Care Leadership Grants
Because we believe that effective leadership skills are directly tied to organizational vitality, patient outcomes and satisfaction, and ultimately physicians’ professional satisfaction and performance, we support physicians and other health care leaders who seek further leadership training.
Patient Safety Research Grants
We support research in areas that we believe will improve patient safety and improve our priority areas of risk. Research grant applicants must include at least one physician policyholder or employee of an organization policyholder as a named principal investigator of the proposed research project.
We support organizations and associations that champion patient safety and provider well-being. Opportunities are available to those who serve locally in states and communities in which we do business, as well as those who serve nationally and are aligned with our common goals and values.
